The Family Crisis Center's 7^th Annual Festival of Trees is right around the corner and we would like for you to join us ring in the Holiday season at our Fundraising Gala. This years Festival is November 22^nd, 2008 at 6:00pm, and will be held at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa located at 575 Hyatt Lost Pines Road, 7 miles west of Bastrop and 20 minutes from the Austin Airport on Hwy 71. The magical evening offers the community a venue for welcoming the holiday season. The event includes displaying items that are generously donated by the community. The items range from decorated Christmas trees of all sizes and themes to holiday wreaths, centerpieces, gift baskets, children's dream and playhouses, gift certificates and much more for raffle, live and silent auction. In addition we also showcase local restaurants from the Bastrop and Austin area that will provide "A Taste Of The Area" featuring hors d'oeuvres, desserts, wine and other beverages.

All proceeds of The Festival of Trees will benefit the Family Crisis Center. The Family Crisis Center has been providing over 25 years of an extensive range of services in the community. The mission of the Center is to partner with the community by providing safe refuge and comprehensive services responsive to the individual needs of women, children and men experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault or child abuse in Bastrop, Fayette, Lee and Colorado Counties. Services include school-based prevention programs; emergency shelter; crisis intervention; advocacy; hospital and law enforcement accompaniment; assistance with the filing of protective orders, assault charges or crime victim compensation; counseling; supportive housing; protective parenting support groups; anger management classes and community education.
